Jess + Hunter | The Chappells
Friendship. Family. Intimacy. Laughter. This was Jess and Hunter's wedding day, filled with all the people and things they love the most. Jess and Hunter exchanged vows in the shade of a tree in the middle of Audubon Park in New Orleans. Their close friend, Mason, officiated the ceremony. Their closest friends stood at their side, and both of Jess's dads walked her down the aisle.
Jess and Hunter are the type of couple that know exactly what they want. They're just the right mix of fun and laidback. All of their close friends and family gathered in a small AirBnB in New Orleans to get ready for the day, keeping the bedroom doors closed so Jess and Hunter didn't see each other before the ceremony. Jess explained to us how both of her parents were remarried, but all of her parents got along so well. She doesn't call her mom's husband stepdad, she just calls him dad. Her stepmom and mom looked on teary eyed and even shared a hug as Jess shared first looks with both of her dads. Every bit of their day was spent surrounded by the people they care for most. As soon as Jess and Hunter finished walking back down the aisle, Jess looked at Hunter and said, "we're married!" and they hugged each other close and exchanged a kiss. What an honor it was to get to share in their season of engagement and get to be part of such a special day.
